About TreVonne Coleman

TreVonne Coleman is a Black, first-generation, 2022 Colorado State University graduate with a degree in theatre performance and a minor in Spanish Communications. His mission within theatre is to create an environment where BIPOC and all of their intersectional identities (LGBTQ, Disabilities, etc.) may create inclusive and intricate art. He wishes to be an example unto other young men of color in his efforts to prove that life is more than a statistic. TreVonne has been in six main stage productions at the CSU Center for the Performing Arts. His credits include a featured soloist in The H.O.P.E Project performing “Life is a Bowl of Cherries”, his lead performance as Magistrate in Lysistrata, a Zoom production of The On the Brink Reading Series: Citizen By Claudia Rankine (as himself), his portrayal of Francis Flute in A Midsummer Night's Dream, the Bar man in One Man, Two Guvnors, and a phantom in The Rocky Horror Show. His tech credits include assistant stage manager and soundboard operator for Sojourners: Project Busing, a devised play written, produced and casted with an mostly Black production. Some outreach projects he has collaborated on are Kids Do It All, a summer camp that introduces theater to children and served as president for one year on the CSU Theatre Diversity and Inclusion Committee (TDIC). As a strong advocate for theatre for change, TreVonne believes that now is the time for Black artists to be in the spotlight and bring an entire new aura to the mainstage.
